If you are caring for an individual with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and you have a specific question that is not covered by any of our information resources, our Family Support Worker may be able to help you.
Email gemma@thecbf.org.uk or telephone 0845 602 7885 to speak to Gemma Honeyman.
We have a range of information sheets and DVD resources. All our resources are free of charge to family carers.

There are many local and national support groups for specific disorders, and Contact-a-Family (www.cafamily.org.uk ; freephone 0808 808 3555 or email info@cafamily.org.uk) can help you find a group appropriate to your needs.
However, different individuals are affected differently by different disorders and you may feel you are alone in trying to cope with your son or daughter's aggression, self injury, stereotyped behaviour or disruptive and destructive behaviours. If that is the case, then the Challenging Behaviour Foundation can help you.
Our Parents' Email Network enables you to be in touch with a number of families and issues they are dealing with, without any obligation to reply or to identify yourself.
Our Family Linking Scheme will link you with another family who are experiencing or have experienced some of the same issues as yourself, or you may like to offer to support another family, perhaps one with children younger than your own. You may choose to write, phone or email. (We regret we cannot guarantee a link with a family in the same geographical area.)
